THE LOW-CARBON COMMUNITY IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE

The Central and Eastern Europe Sustainable Energy Network (CEESEN) is the only umbrella organisation representing green transition actors in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). We serve as a low-carbon economy knowledge base and network, a voice for the region at the EU level, and a platform that connects public administrators, policymakers, and other key actors working toward low-carbon economies in the CEE. We have more than 700 institutional and individual members, along with an additional 3,000 stakeholders in our network.

Our specific areas of focus include efforts to reduce energy poverty, increase the number of energy communities producing renewable energy, improve the digitalisation of building-level data for greater energy efficiency, and strengthen local energy and climate adaptation planning and implementation.

Through these efforts, we support the CEE region in advancing sustainable energy and climate action to meet the EU’s 2050 climate neutrality goals, while ensuring that the region’s specific operating conditions are reflected in EU decision-making.
