From idea to community: launching solar energy communities
Energy communities: experiences, success stories and challenges
The conference focuses on practical experiences in developing and setting up solar energy communities in different contexts. It will explore the technical, social and sustainability-related challenges encountered when creating the first energy communities, as well as possible solutions that can be used and further developed in the future.
Special attention will also be given to how additional funding can be secured for the development of energy communities, and which cooperation models can help local initiatives move from idea to implementation.
The conference is intended for local authorities, community initiatives, apartment associations, energy community leaders, developers, researchers, entrepreneurs and everyone interested in local renewable energy production and the creation of energy communities.
The conference will also introduce the StartSun handbook and the energy community feasibility calculator. These are practical tools for people and organisations who wish to create their own local energy community or assess its feasibility.
The conference will be held in English. The detailed programme and speaker information will be added soon.
The StartSun project is part of the EnTRA project platform, which has been awarded the Operation of Strategic Importance badge by the Interreg Joint Secretariat in recognition of its significant contribution to achieving the core objectives of the EU programme
The conference is co-funded by the European Union.
