"Engagement strategies of vulnerable communities for energy renovations"
on 30 June 2026 at 10:30–12:00 CET

This session will bring together insights from the two Climate Alliance projects, JUST PEPP and CEESEN-BENDER, to explore how energy renovation initiatives can better reach and support vulnerable households. Moving beyond theory, the event focuses on real-world challenges and practical solutions. Participants will take part in a facilitated role-playing simulation based on a fictional urban district experiencing energy poverty. Working in small groups, you will engage with realistic scenarios, stakeholder perspectives, and practical constraints.
The aim is not to find a single “right” answer, but to uncover diverse approaches, highlight common barriers, and encourage peer learning. The agenda includes:
- Dynamic Pecha Kucha presentations
- Interactive group work focused on scenario-based problem-solving
- A guided plenary discussion to share insights across groups
- Closing reflections with key takeaways.
This session is part of the EUSEW Sustainable Energy Days 2026.
