THE LOW-CARBON COMMUNITY IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE

The Central and Eastern Europe Sustainable Energy Network (CEESEN) is the only umbrella organisation representing the CEE green transition actors.  We are a low-carbon economy knowledge base and network, a voice for the region at the EU level and a platform for connecting together public administrators, policy makers and other key actors working for low-carbon economies in the CEE.
We have more than 700 institutional and individual members with an additional 3000 stakeholders in our network.

Our specific areas of focus include efforts to decrease energy poverty, increase the number of energy communities producing renewable energy, improve digitalisation of building level data for greater energy efficiency, and improve local energy and climate adaptation planning and implementation.

Through this we support the CEE on sustainable energy and climate actions in reaching EU 2050 climate neutrality goals and ensure that the specific operating conditions of the region are considered in EU decision making.

OUR VISION

To guide the CEE on sustainable energy and climate action in reaching EU 2050 climate neutrality goals and ensure that the specific operating conditions of the region are considered in EU decision making.

OUR MISSION

Empower CEE practitioners to effectively plan, finance, implement, and maintain sustainable energy initiatives. Facilitate communication of CEE regional concerns at the EU level to ensure policies and initiatives address the region’s interests.

WHAT WE DO

We achieve results via implementation of successful international projects. We do so by bringing together experts from throughout the region. Our expertise includes stakeholder engagement, policy analysis, proposal writing, project management, process evaluation, communication and dissemination.
