On October 15th, the Mazovia Energy Agency participated in the 14th edition of the Mazovia Development Forum, a key regional event that brings together experts, policymakers, and business leaders to discuss sustainable growth and development strategies for Mazovia Region in Poland and beyond. This year’s event was particularly special, as it coincided with the 20th anniversary of Poland’s accession to the EU, a milestone that highlights two decades of transformation, integration, and development for the country within the EU framework.
MAE’s CEO, Bartosz Dubiński, moderated a debate on Europe’s path to green growth. The EU’s biggest challenge remains achieving climate neutrality by 2050, and our head emphasized that this goal is achievable. It was pointed out that EU funding for 2021-2027 offers great opportunities to subsidize green initiatives and support renewable energy, which is particularly important in the face of climate change and growing energy demand. However, the European Green Deal, enacted five years ago, continues to generate controversy and uncertainty among citizens.
The forum provided an invaluable opportunity to share experiences and discuss how Mazovia Region can support the energy transition and reduce carbon emissions. MAE’s team members also had the chance to share their insights on green solutions and new developments. This year, the Mazovia Energy Agency played a vital role in promoting the objectives of GREET CE, a project that supports European regions in transitioning towards greener, more sustainable economies, emphasizing the role of green energy in regional development. The forum allowed GREET CE to connect with various stakeholders interested in sustainable solutions, creating new opportunities for cooperation and networking in the green economy while also highlighting companies that are already partners in this project.
As a result, the 14th Mazovian Development Forum underscored Mazovia’s commitment to sustainable growth, fostering an open dialogue on actionable strategies to achieve a greener future.
